A former Las Vegas executive wanted for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her company was caught in Montana this week.

56 year old Judith Nagel faces 57 counts of felony theft and two counts of felony forgery in Las Vegas.

Nagel was the Executive Director of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association of Southern Nevada. And according to the Las Vegas District Attorney's office, Nagel admitted to using the company debit card to make unauthorized withdrawals along forging business checks to pay off her gambling debt.

The state of Nevada recommended a $177,000 bond, but District Judge Thomas McKittrick called the amount "excessive" and lowered it to $10,000. And that's not sitting well with the District Attorney's office in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Deputy District Attorney Michael Staudaher told NewsChannel 5, "Somebody who has stolen $227,000 from a company that she worked for in another state doesn't have a great incentive go to that state and face those charges."

Court documents indicate the state of Nevada is seeking extradition, and the District Attorney's office tells us that could be difficult if she is released on bond.
