Teen Accused of Violating Bond Terms in Statutory Rape Case

A teen who was recently accused of statutory rape is now in more trouble with the law.

19 year old Cheyenne Benally was originally charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent--stemming from a relationship with a 14 year old girl.

Today, Benally appeared in court on a warrant for violating the terms of his bond.

According to court testimony, the defendant was charged with several traffic-related misdemeanors, including obstructing a peace officer.

He is currently being held at the cascade county detention center on a $10,000 bond.
