Senator Tester Praises Big Sandy Basketball Team on Senate Floor

Last week, Big Sandy captured the Class C boys’ state championship. Today, the entire United States Senate learned the news. In a brief speech on the senate floor, Senator Jon tester, who hails from Big Sandy, praised the team for their achievement.

He said that Class C basketball is a way of life in Montana, and that the last time the Pioneers won the state title, he was just six years old.

“I’m sharing this news about these young men not just because they are from hometown, although I am very proud of that,” Tester said. “I’m sharing it because we can all use a reminder of hard work and teamwork.”

Big Sandy defeated Power, 51-49, on Saturday night.
