Tasty Great Falls Tacos for a Good Cause

By KFBB News Team

One local taco joint is serving up more than tasty food – they’re doing their part to give back to the community at the same time.

For the entire 40 days of Lent leading up to Easter, Taco del Sol will be donating a portion of its proceeds from sale of fish and veggie tacos to the Saint Martin de Porres Emilie Center here in Great Falls.

The Center is a Catholic organization that donates food, clothing and other services to those who are disadvantaged or in need.

Explains Tom Trunkle of Taco del Sol, “We were looking for an organization that was in need and that did a lot - did a great service in our community, and so we identified them and since fish and vegetarian meals are such a large part, or a large staple of the Lent season, we thought what a good idea it would be to donate a portion of our fish tacos and our veggie tacos to this group.”

Trunkle says the effort has been well received so far and that customers have been very supportive.

Taco del Sol’s Tacos for the Emilie Center fundraiser will run until Easter Sunday.
