Great Falls Dog Park Reopens for Spring

Many people are taking their pups out to the Pacific Steel and Recycling Trailside Dog Park.

The park reopened Monday, after being closed for much of the winter to preserve the grass and prevent damage to the turf. Since the park opened last July, it has become a popular destination for many dog owners in great falls.

This popularity, combined with poor soil conditions, has placed significant stress on the grass. So now the animal foundation is funding a project to install asphalt walkways in the park in an attempt to prevent further turf damage.

The dog park will be closed during the pathway construction which should begin sometime in the next several weeks.
