Cascade County Sheriff David Castle Kicks Off New Campaign

By KFBB News Team

Cascade County Sheriff David Castle was elected sheriff back in 2004 and he says he has what it takes to lead the county for another two years.

Dozens of people gathered at Baker Bob's in downtown Great Falls Thursday night for the kickoff to his campaign. The Great Falls native has been with the Sheriff's office for 23 years and was elected sheriff back in 2004.

Castle says since that time, meth use among young people has dropped 50 percent and there are fewer people in our jail. Despite recent budget disputes with county commissioners, Castle says he is still the best man for the job.

Sheriff David Castle says, "My campaign this year is we need to invest in our children. I may not be able to build a future for our kids but I'm going to do everything I can to build our kids for the future. I know sometimes people are going to make an issue about money but the real issue here in this campaign is not about money, it's about these young people here, it's about the future for Cascade County."

Sheriff Castle is facing off against Sheriff's Deputy Bob Edwards and Glenn Steiner of the Great Falls Police Department. A primary election will be held in June, followed by a general election in November.

Except when Castle apparently does not care that one of his detention officers makes sexually explictit comments about minor young ladies and even after complaints are made through the county nothing is done. Not even a disciplinary. Thanks Castle your support is really there for the good people! NOT!

I think unless you've been a victim, you can't understand that Sheriff Castle does work for the people and the courts work for the criminals. Unfortunately, the truth is not popular and it's not what the general public wants to hear.

Not this time Castle. We need new blood in our SSheriff's Dept. Someone who is for the people and not how much money he can put in his back pocket. My vote and others I know of are voting for someone else.

I for one am glad we have sheriff Castle, I just wish that we had a legal system that would back our deputies, they put their lives on the line and the courts let the criminals go with barely a slap on the wrist, because these lying bastards and their lying lawyers bend the truth around so it looks like the person who the crime was against is the guilty one and the court says we can not do anything to him because he really has not done anything and the next thing you see is someone has to be seriously hurt or killed by this individual for the court to take action against him.

Wow, nice commercial for Davis Castle! Where's the equal time for Bob Edwards, the other democrat running? And contrary to your biased reporting, the only way Castle will face Stinar is if Castle wins the primary. Stinar is a Republican.

The term for Sheriff is 4 years. Who will be appointed rather than elected after he quits!!

Here's an idea. Get rid of the commissioners, both city and county. Cut the head off the fraud, waste, and abuse snake.

The title of this article should be Castle gets kicked off. Get rid of the guy and get someone who wants to work for the people instead of complain all the time.
