Black Eagle Construction Closes Part of Smelter Avenue

Smelter Avenue is closed near Wire Mill Road, east of Old Havre Highway. United Construction is installing a new sewer main for Mountain View Co-op, which is causing a traffic detour.

The dig started on Monday, and this is one of many construction projects beginning, as the weather improves.

Just down the street on Wire Mill Road and 15th Street North, a water main project is underway, although that project is not impacting traffic.

Construction workers say they appreciate the patience of drivers as well as pedestrians.

Smelter is expected to reopen by Saturday (3/20)
