90 People to Lose Jobs at Heritage Propane

About 90 people will soon be losing their jobs in Helena in the wake of a merger between Heritage Propane and AmeriGas Propane.

In January, AmeriGas bought the Helena location for almost $3 billion.

Heritage is in charge of many of the financial functions, all of which will be transferred to the AmeriGas headquarters in Pennsylvania.

About 15 people will stay in Helena to perform administrative duties, while the others will lose their jobs by June.

AmeriGas is offering severance packages for affected employees.
