By KFBB News Team

Today is National Senior Health and Fitness Day, and that has one local retirement community is doing its part to help keep local seniors informed and healthy.

Dozens of seniors and local residents came out for the Health and Fitness Fair on Wednesday at Cambridge Place. The event featured around a dozen local vendors, including RSVP, the Hearing Aid Institute and Lifeline.

Guest speakers also focused on a range of topics from nutrition, how to deal with diabetes and the signs and symptoms of a stroke. A massage therapist and a reflexologist were also on hand, along with a company that makes wigs.

Organizers are hoping the vendors will not only improve the quality of life for these seniors but also give them information that could potentially save their lives.
