Arrest Made in The Susan Casey Murder

An arrest was made today in 2008 unsolved murder out of Glendive.

34 year old Susan Casey went missing in April of 2008. Her body was found three weeks later in the Yellowstone River near Fallon.

Her ex-husband, Walter Larson was arrested this morning in Phoenix, Arizona.

A Montana division of criminal investigation agent, Glendive police officer, and Phoenix Police made the arrest.

Despite taking almost 4 years to make an arrest, it took time to build a case against Larson, "These are delicate cases that take time to investigate, and we wanted to make sure the state got everything right in this one before proceeding," Says John Doran, Department of Justice Communications Officer.

Larson is being charged with deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence.

He's being held in a Phoenix Jail on a $500,000 bail pending extradition to Montana.
