Craigslist Removes Adult Services Section

By KFBB News Team

Last Sunday, we brought you the story about Craigslist, and how several state attorneys general, plus other groups, were asking the website to remove the "Adult Services" section of its site. Now, Craigslist has removed that section.

Under the "Adult Services" section on its front-page, there is now a line with a black bar that says "censored."

The move comes two weeks after multiple state attorneys general demanded Craigslist close the section, and it isn't clear if that change to the front-page will be permanent.

In response to the removal of the adult services, Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock released this statement Saturday, "Ads for prostitution were rampant on this section of the website, and I'm pleased that Craigslist has removed it. It's a step in the right direction and the responsible thing to do."

Attorney General Bullock was one of the seventeen attorneys general to request the section be removed.
