Federal Health Care Lawsuit Bill Passes Senate

A bill that would order Attorney General Bullock to join in a lawsuit against Federal Health Care Reform passed its third reading in the Senate this afternoon.

Republican Senator Jason Priest's Senate Bill 106 passed 28 to 22 on the Senate Floor.

The Legislature's top lawyer says the Attorney General's involvement in the Health Care Reform lawsuit could "pose a significant risk" of violating the state constitution.

Senator Priest says the Attorney General is "our attorney” and Montanans need an attorney because Federal Health Care Reform has important ramifications for Montana. The bill is now up for a debate in House Committee.

“I’m not sure that it’s controversy so much as a debate about the Federal Health Care Bill. The bill is pretty unpopular in Montana. It’s costly to small businesses, it’s got some pretty unprecedented Constitutional issues associated with it, requiring people to engage in commerce and its going to be very costly for state governments,” says Senator Priest, (R) Senate District 30.

Meanwhile, over on the House Floor, House Bill 130 which is spear-headed by Secretary of State Linda McCulloch passed its second reading 57 to 43. The bill expands vote-by-mail to all local, municipal, state and federal elections.

I have posted this already here before You guys should stop complaining because, one the health care we have now isnt as good as it was supposed to be. also the law has just been signed so give it some time. so if u want to say u have the right to choose tell that to ur congress men or state official. If you do not have insurance and need one You can find full medical coverage at the lowest price check search online for "Wise Health Insurance" If you have health insurance and do not care about cost just be happy about it and believe me you are not going to loose anything!
