Fire Destroys Belt Home

A fire has destroyed a home in Belt.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, Belt Rural Fire and Rescue was called to a home at 158 Belt Creek Road.

When firemen arrived, flames were visible from the window of the home. Luckily, no one was inside the home. The fire was put out pretty quickly and there were no injuries reported.

Firefighters tell us the fire started in the living room and the interior of the home is destroyed due to fire and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
