Future of Malamutes Could be Determined Soon

By KFBB News Team

The future of the more than 160 rescued Malamutes could be determined in Boulder District Court today.

A hearing on an animal welfare petition was filed by Jefferson County Attorney Matt Johnson.

The Malamutes were rescued from Mike Chilinski last month, and he's now being charged with 91 felonies related to animal cruelty and drug charges.

Today, a temporary order was granted to allow the county to provide for continued care for the dogs.

Chilinski will be testifying in court on November 23rd as the hearing continues.
