Great Falls Driver Exam Office Debuts New Appointment Scheduling for Faster Service

Dreaded waits at the Drivers Licensing Office may be a thing of the past, thanks to new appointment scheduling.

Appointment scheduling is already the norm in other locations across Montana, including Billings, Helena and Missoula.

As of today, the Great Falls Drivers Exam location on 13th Avenue South began implementing scheduled customer appointments – taking the place of walk-ins.

The switch is in an effort to help make the center more efficient, while cutting down on wait times for customers.

“It allows our customers a better opportunity to come in and make an appointment. They don't have to wait in line - their appointments are priority. The only appointments that we do take as walk-in's now are renewals, duplicates and ID cards, and it helps us to better care for our customers and take care of what they need to without too much disruption in their day,” explains Floyd Stiffler, Regional Manager for the Great Falls Drivers Licensing Office.

The Great Falls exam location sees an average of 70 to 80 customers per day.

The majority of appointments may be scheduled online at http://www.doj.mt.gov/driving, or by calling toll free, 1-866-450-8034.
