Hicks Charged with Second Evidence Tampering Offense in Child Murder Case

By KFBB News Team

An accused child-killer was back in court Thursday charged with a second count of solicitation to commit evidence tampering.

Jerimie Hicks, 22, pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide and the first solicitation to tampering with evidence charge earlier this year.

Hicks is accused of causing deadly injuries to three-year-old Kaelyn bray by pushing her against a sheet-rock wall.

Thursday, Hicks made an initial appearance for the second evidence tampering charge. According to court documents, authorities believe hicks asked his mother to remove the military uniform pants and boots he was wearing at the time of Bray's death.

Reports say test results from the state crime lab show DNA from the victim's blood and hair was found on those items.

Recorded jail phone calls indicate Hicks was angry with his mother for taking the wrong uniform from the crime scene.

The judge set a $50,000 bond to run concurrent with hick's $300,000 bond and ordered he have no contact with his mother or any other witnesses.

His trial is scheduled in November.

Leave the poor parents alone. Their kid is screwed no matter the tampering so it's moot. I don't blame them. Besides, it never said his father actually tampered before, just that he was asked to. This is more specific. Dad coulda turned his kid in before. Learn to read.

OK since you all are so learned on our justice system why don't we just take them all out and put them against the wall!!! After that we'll start doing the same for anybody that commits a crime ,or at least what you experts consider a crime! They used to have a name for the kind of justice you're seeking, in fact they still do IT'S CALLED LYNCHING!!! AND WHEN IS YOUR TURN GOING TO COME AROUND??? Of course the parents should be charged and I expect they will but in order to prevent them from getting away with it totally the charges have to be done correctly or they will be thrown out by a judge. The same with the case against this slime ball, we do still have the DEATH SENTENCE and I DO AGREE HE SHOLD GET IT FOR WHAT HE DID, but it has to be done correctly or again the court will throw it out and he'll walk free. Enough of your lynching talk, just remember that you could be the next one at the end of that rope if we revert back to that kind of justice!!!

Do we not have capital punishment in our state? Why does a criminal who does something so gruesome and so heinous get the ability to live off of the people? What about this little girl? Child crimes are the absolute worst. It is hard to stomach why there is no recourse for such terrible crimes. When petty crimes are committed, they get so much more than a slap on the wrist which it looks as though this guy is going to get. He will probably get shipped to the mental hospital after he pleads insanity or some nonsense.

shame shame on this mother...I can't believe she is getting away with trying to help a killer! I agree, why are we waiting on a trial? An innocent life was taken and he keeps wasting our tax dollars, what a justice system we have!

The mother has not been charged with a crime!!!! How can someone go and take evidence from a murder crime scene to cover up for her son and GET CAUGHT ADMITTING IT ON TAPE, and still be FREE!!! Apparently our justice system just gets to pick and choose who the prosecute. This is outrageous!!

I agree his parents should be charged with obstruction to justice and evidence tampering and various other crimes, why we cannot just impose these things I am unclear of. Also I have to ask why we are even wasting time on a trial for this guy. Way to spend the taxpayers money. Then he will go sit in jail for a long time eating up more of our money and having a grand old time. Where is the justice today?

I agree! It is a travesty that his parents aren't charged yet, these are people who are showing a clear disregard for the laws of MT state, and a clear desire to do whatever they can to get their darling little murdering son off the hook...
