Laslovich Files to Run for Attorney General

By KFBB News Team

On Monday, Jesse Laslovich filed for office as he begins his bid to become Montana’s next Attorney General.

A former legislator for 10 years, Laslovich says there's nothing more important than protecting children.

He says that his experience working in the legislature, Attorney General's Office, and as a prosecutor make him the right candidate.

He says, “Whether it’s cracking down on sexual predators, improving our DUI laws, or creating mental health courts and drug treatment courts, I’ve been in the trenches fighting for laws that protect Montanans, and I’m ready to put that experience to work as your next attorney general.”

Laslovich also announced that if he's elected, he'll make a proposal to the 2013 legislature to create a crime of Child Criminal Endangerment.

That law would make it a felony to drive drunk with children in the car.
