Man Accused of Brandishing Shot Gun Changes Plea

By KFBB News Team

A retired Fort Shaw man accused of pointing a rifle at another man has entered into a plea agreement.

Wayne Thomas McKay, 73, was originally charged with assault with a weapon for allegedly pointing the rifle at the man's head after stopping along Old fort Shaw Road in March.

Reports indicate McKay was angry because the couple took pictures of his neighbor's house, they say it was with permission. McKay later told sheriff's deputies he thought he was being "set up."

Thursday McKay pleaded guilty to the amended charge of felony criminal endangerment. Prosecutors are recommending a three year deferred sentence.

Sentencing is set for October 21st.
