By KFBB News Team

We have new information on the events leading up to one man's death at the Rainbow Dam Construction site.

The Cascade County Coroner's office says a 44 year old man died after being crushed between two large trucks driving near each other, around eight o'clock Tuesday morning.

According to emergency scanner calls around that time, the victim was air-lifted by Mercy Flight from the construction site.

Officials say the victim was declared dead at Benefis, due to massive internal injuries. His body has been sent to the state crime lab in Missoula for an autopsy.

The project was expected to employ about 200 people over the summer, and be completed in May of 2012.

PPL says the victim was an employee of a subcontractor for the construction project, but did not identify the person.

We’ll have more information about this accident as soon as it is released.
