"No Bar Too Far Montana” Tours Montana's Bars

Before you head out on your next road trip, a new book about Montana's bars may prove useful.

Debbie Higgins and her husband Rich spent nine months touring the Treasure State stopping at more than 400 watering holes. The book "No Bar Too Far Montana” features a good chunk of the saloons from 166 towns.

Full of stories, jokes and pictures, Higgins shares her experiences in the book.

Higgins wanted to do the tour to promote that these pubs are more than just bars. Saying, “They're really the backbone of the communities and the towns. It's a place where people come together not just to drink, but to socialize and say hi. There are many parties at bars, and wakes and community events.”

Be on the lookout for the Idaho version of the book. Higgins says her tour of the Gem State starts in a few weeks.
