Officials Release Industrial Accident Victim's Name

By KFBB News Team

Officials have released the name of the victim of a deadly industrial accident that occurred Tuesday at the Rainbow Dam construction site.

The Cascade County Coroner's Office says Taun Kultgen, 44, of Havre died after being crushed between two large trucks driving near each other, around 8 am Tuesday.

According to emergency scanner calls around that time, the victim was air-lifted by Mercy Flight from the construction site.

Officials say the Kutlgen was declared dead at Benefis, due to massive internal injuries.

Governor Schweitzer toured the site of the 240 million dollar project back in May.

The project was expected to employ about 200 people over the summer, and be completed in May of 2012.

PPL says the Kultgen was an employee of a subcontractor for the construction project.

The accident remains under investigation.
