Tester on Payroll Tax Cut Plan: "Bring Montana Families Certainty"

By KFBB News Team

Big news out of Washington, Senator Jon Tester released a statement after extending the Payroll Tax Cut through the end of 2012, saving the average American worker about $1,000 dollars.

"Extending the payroll tax cut and protecting Medicare bring much-needed certainty to Montana families and seniors. This bipartisan plan is what our economy needs as it begins to improve and create more jobs,” says Senator Tester.

The agreement avoids a 27% cut to Medicare reimbursement rates, ensuring that seniors have access to their doctors through Medicare.

I'm sure like the the last two month extension somebody has to be the sucker to pay for all this - Will this extension also be buried into mortgage loans as a hidden fee for those trying to refinance or purchase a home - for the next 10 years it will be collected but alas - instead of being put back into Social Security after being collected - it goes into general fund to be spent as government deems fit - we all know where that gets us. I say cut the state taxes - Mr. Tester I am more concerned about the current State taxes - they are rather high (especially on top of our inflated county taxes due to the home valuation system used which values our homes way above actual worth). It's not the Federal taxes that are hurting most middle class people.

Tester wants you to think this is a good thing. You all know Social Security is going broke. All this does is make it worse. When the time comes to "pay back" this $1000. You'll have to $2000 in order to pay the interest and expenses. All this is is a way to BUY your vote.
