Powerballl Lottery at $250M

By KFBB News Team

The price of a Powerball lottery ticket has doubled from one to two dollars, which has helped push tonight's jackpot to $250 million.

More prize money is exactly what officials from 44 states wanted when they decided to raise the price.

They say that by doubling the ticket price he jackpot is higher and more people will want to play.

In Great Falls lottery players bought tickets with crossed fingers hoping to claim tonight's pot of money for themselves.

The lottery brings in revenue for the state and it's brought in $11 million over the past few years.

That money is dispersed by the Montana legislature and invested in education and health and public safety programs.

You have until eight o'clock tonight to buy tickets for this evening's Powerball drawing.
