Rescued Malamutes Getting Help From Across the Globe

More than 150 dogs seized from a Jefferson City home earlier this month are getting help from around the world.

The Malamute dogs are now living at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society receiving medical attention after being rescued from a puppy mill.

Officials at the Humane Society say donations to help the 161 dogs are coming from as far as Europe and South America. Recently, a pet food distributor in Idaho donated several thousand pounds of dog food.

Mike Chilinski was arrested in connection to the puppy mill. He pleaded not guilty to 91 counts of felony cruelty to animal charges and to other drug charges.
