Rocky Mountain Gift Show Sees Good Sales

By KFBB News Team

Shoppers trying to get a head start on holiday presents packed the Four Seasons Arena for the 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Gift Show.

More than 100 booths sold a variety of items including food, clothing, jewelry, photographs, wood works, and tools along with other items. Organizers say about 80% of the goods are handcrafted.

Instead of charging admission to the show, organizers asked shoppers to bring a can of food for the Great Falls Community Food Bank. They say that way the show ends up helping the community.

Promoter Kathy Goodman says yesterday was very busy and a lot of the vendors saw good sales.

She says organizing the event requires a lot of communication, but since she describes the vendors as one network the show really comes together. “A lot of us have been doing the shows for years. It’s like a family of vendors and it’s just kind of a networking thing, we all get together so we can sell our stuff,” Goodman says.

Be sure to look for the 3rd annual gift show about this time next year with even more vendors.
