Service Groups Coming Together to Raise Awareness on Child Abuse

By KFBB News Team

Two local service organizations are teaming up once again to shine a spotlight on child abuse in our community.

Commissioners made a proclamation during Tuesday's meeting, highlighting efforts by CASA-CAN and The Great Falls Exchange Club to recognize and prevent one of the most serious issues affecting the area.

For the second year, the two groups will be placing pinwheels on the front lawn of the courthouse, as well as cut-outs of "forgotten" children in foster care.

It's all to raise awareness of the effects of child abuse in Cascade County.

The Exchange Club is paying for the pinwheel display, which will be installed with the cut-outs on Monday, April 2nd.

If you'd like to find out more about the project, or how you can volunteer, contact CASA-CAN at 454-6738.
