Teenager Saves Man From Sun Prairie Fire Friday Morning

By KFBB News Team

Thanksgiving night came to a scary end for a resident at one Sun Prairie home. Crews were called to the house after midnight reporting to a truck on fire.

Vaughn Fire Chief Nate Curtis says the truck overheated and went up in flames. The blaze quickly spread to a garage and then to the house. Curtis calls the house "pretty well lost."

Around 10:30 Friday morning the fire rekindled. Curtis says the wind blew the water off hot spots allowing them to reignite.

He says a teenager riding his bike noticed a man in the truck early this morning. The man was unresponsive and the teenager pulled him from the car before the fire engulfed the vehicle and home, saving his life.

The sheriff's office evacuated nearby homes. No one was injured in the fire, multiple Cascade County volunteer departments responded to the blaze.
