Young Life Holds Annual Fundraiser Banquet

By Charlie Keegan

More than 200 people showed up Monday night to support one area youth ministry at its third annual fundraising banquet.

Young Life helps bridge the gap between church and youth by meeting with teenagers and sharing the gospel message. The non-denominational ministry believes it’s important to reach out to adolescents early.

Monday, at a dessert only banquet, organizers spread Young Life's mission to encourage community members to donate to the non-profit.

One staff member says what sets the program apart is Young Life's ability to find youth in need of the support the program offers. “We’re a proactive organization; we go out and try to find kids who some people aren’t even looking for. There are a lot of kids out there who don’t have someone in their life who wants to tell them that they’re special and that there’s a God out there who loves them, so we try to be that person,” says Area Director Jake Clark.

If you would like more information on joining Young Life, give Jake a call at (406) 788-0844.
