Sheriff’s Race: Candidate Preview

By Chase Moffitt

Republican Glen Stinar ran uncontested during the primaries; he's set to face off against Democrat Bob Edwards, who faced incumbent David Castle and with under a week out from Election Day both candidates say they're ready to get to work.

Two separate candidates, two separate viewpoints on the Office of Sheriff/Coroner. Edwards says its getting back into the community is what will make the difference

The budget is a big concern for both candidates; they both have ideas and insight on how they think they can fix this issue.

For Stinar, it’s his background, he says, that provide the right foundation

Both men, however, see an immediate need to change the structure of projecting actual bed count numbers.
Both candidates tell me they are concerned with how the current administration failed on budget issues; however, they're ready to move on, getting the ball rolling on a new administration. This will be a race a lot of people will have an eye on.
