Steve Daines Switches Campaign from Senate to House

A business man from Bozeman is officially switching his campaign for the U.S Senate to a campaign for the U.S. House.

Steve Daines is now running to become the state's lone representative.

The change now leaves the Republican senate race to Representative Denny Rehberg, who is expected to announce his campaign for senator in the near future.

Daines campaigned for lieutenant governor in 2008 as the running mate for Roy Brown.

So far, Daines has raised over $200,000 for his senate campaign in less than two months.

Under federal law, Daines is allowed to transfer that money to his new campaign.
