BILLINGS - A 59-year-old woman died this week in a mobile home fire west of Ryegate. The Golden Valley County coroner identified the victim as Judith Anne Voss.

Officials say Voss died after flames engulfed her mobile home around 4:35 a.m. Monday. Voss and her husband had gotten up early to go hunting. Her husband was outside hooking up a trailer and she was cooking breakfast when the fire started.

The county sheriff and fire chief, Floyd Fisher, says Mrs. Voss left breakfast cooking on the stove and went to the other end of the mobile home. Fisher says flames erupted in the kitchen , the fast-moving fire trapped the woman at the back of the trailer and her husband wasn't able to save her.
