Elderly man dies in house fire near Radersburg

HELENA - Authorities say a 90-year-old man died in a house fire east of Radersburg this week.

Broadwater County Sheriff Brenda Ludwig says Floyd Poe called 911 just before 10 p.m. Tuesday to report a fire in the ceiling of his home. Ludwig says the man didn't make it out.

The one-story residence, which appears to be the original farmstead, was badly damaged. The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
