TWIN BRIDGES - A campground tailored to the needs of people on long-distance bicycle tours is being developed on a bank of the Beaverhead River in Twin Bridges, south of Butte.

Construction contractor Bill White says the campground he decided to establish should be ready for cyclists on May 1. White says he got the idea after talking to some of the hundreds of cyclists who pass through the Twin Bridges area.

Campground plans include a flush toilet, a shower, a place to hang clothes for drying and a secure place to lock bicycles. Tools for working on bikes will be available, as well.
