GLASGOW - A ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday honored law enforcement agencies and individuals who responded to the January 17 hospital shootings in Glasgow.

Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer and Attorney General Steve Bullock made brief remarks, with Bullock commending the Glasgow Police Department and Valley County sheriff's office on their response to the incident that claimed the life of 37-year-old Melissa Greenhagen, an emergency medical technician at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.

The shooter, 42-year-old Roger Sellers, died in a gun battle with law enforcement later that evening. Police Chief Lynn Erickson gave special recognition to Glasgow residents Scott and Suzanne Billingsley, who were wounded as they went to Greenhagen's aid.
