BOZEMAN - Bozeman High School and Stevensville High have made Newsweek magazine's list of the top 1,500 high schools in the United States.

Bozeman High is ranked at No. 586 on Newsweek's 2009 list. Stevensville High is No. 659. They are the only Montana schools on the list, which is compiled by Washington Post education columnist Jay Mathews.

He ranks public schools according to the number of Advanced Placement tests taken by all students at a school in 2008 divided by the number of graduating seniors.
