MISSOULA - The Missoula County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a woman who was found dead in a jail cell on Friday night.

Missoula County Undersheriff Jerry Crego says the victim was 31-year-old Heather Wasson of Missoula. Deputies found Wasson just after 9:30 p.m. Friday. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Crego says the investigation is still under way, but he says suicide has been ruled out.

He says Wasson likely died of natural causes, but at this point the death is of undetermined origin. Officers say Wasson had been in jail for about a-day-and-a-half for a probation violation.
