MISSOULA - A 22-year-old woman accused of stabbing two men and trying to "slash at" another man outside a downtown Missoula bar has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and assault with a weapon.

Lacey Tollefson of Havre denied the charges in District Court Wednesday and remains jailed on $500,000 bail.

Prosecutors say she stabbed 22-year-old Brian Brennan in the chest and 46-year-old Carlos Combs in the back. They also say she tried to "slash at" a third man while he sat in his vehicle.

Witnesses told police Tollefson was drunk and belligerent at the time of the stabbings. The men say they did not know each other and told police they had never met Tollefson.
