Sheriff: Man killed in Flathead boating accident

KALISPELL - A Flathead County man was killed and his wife was injured in a Fourth of July boating accident on Flathead Lake.

Deputy Coroner Dorothy Browder says it happened about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, three miles east of Lakeside. Browder says the man and his wife were in a boat that was struck by another boat.

No information was available on the wife's condition. Their names are being withheld pending notification of relatives. The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks is investigating the accident.
