3 dead in collision in southern Montana

By The Associated Press

BILLINGS - Authorities have identified the three people killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 310 southwest of Billings.

The Billings Gazette reports that Carbon County Sheriff Tom Rieger said 63-year-old John A. Harman, his 62-year-old wife Sherry Harman and 22-year-old Serina M. Schwend all died in the wreck Wednesday morning. All three are from Bridger.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the accident happened between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Wednesday about a mile north of Silesia. The patrol says a southbound pickup driven by Schwend crossed over the center line of the two-lane highway and crashed into the Harman car traveling north.

The accident is under investigation.
