Molt man pleads not guilty in killing

COLUMBUS - A 48-year-old Molt man has pleaded not guilty to murder in Stillwater County District Court in Columbus.

Jeffrey L. Hardman entered the plea Monday to a charge of deliberate homicide during a court appearance before Judge Blair Jones. Hardman is charged with the Oct. 15 killing of neighbor Michael Blattie.

The 33-year-old Blattie was found dead of a gunshot on the front porch of his house. Hardman remains in the Yellowstone County jail.

Jones reduced his bond to from $2 million to $1 million. A trial date will be set later.
