Man hospitalized after Kalispell shooting

By The Associated Press

KALISPELL - Flathead County officials say a 26-year-old Whitefish man is hospitalized after being shot in the stomach and face and officers are searching for the suspect.

Detective Ray Young says Bryan Schloss was dropped off at Kalispell Regional Medical Center Saturday afternoon with multiple gunshot wounds. He was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit.

Young says 27-year-old Bo Hanger of Kalispell has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. No charges have been filed against Schloss. Officers say they are seeking a third man they say is the suspected shooter.

Authorities say it appears Schloss and Hanger picked up the third man in a vehicle and that drugs were involved in the shooting. Young says the shooter fled on foot and Hanger drove Schloss to the hospital, dropping him off outside the emergency room.
