Carroll Football Headed to National Title Game!

The Fighting Saints beat Mid-South Conference East Division winner Georgetown College (KY) 35-3 in their semifinal in Helena. Carroll, the defending national champs will defend their title against St. Xavier on December 17th in Rome Georgia.

About the game, Junior Tight End Anthony Hogan says, "We just stuck together as a team, and corrected our mistakes we made last week. We really hurt ourselves and this week we wanted to change that. We made the right corrections and we're just working as a team all the way down and putting up points."

"We've got to stop the running game first. I think when you look at last week I think we took a step backwards on run defense. But it was all correctable. I think the guys were upset that we gave up that many yards rushing last weekend. I don't know if these backs were as good as the backs we saw from Azusa (Pacific) but they had their credentials. And we still have to stop the running game, that's our priority every week," says Saints Head Coach Mike Van Diest.

"It's just a great feeling. It's awesome knowing that we are one of two teams left in the NAIA, ready to compete for that number one spot...it's awesome," Says Hogan.
