Carroll Men's Hoops Starting to Come Together

Like the football team... the Saints men's basketball program came into the season with pretty high expectations, after a trip to the national tournament just last year. However, the team got off to a slower start than expected, at three and three.

It wasn't exactly the record head coach Brandon Veltri was hoping for, but he knew his team was improving. They've taken time to mesh together, but had a strong showing last weekend. they won both games while in salt lake... making it three straight wins, and pushing their record to 5-3.

While everyone agrees the Saints still have a long way to go, their thanksgiving weekend matchups were no doubt a good sign. And players, both old and new, are happy with the progress.

"We're definitely going in the right direction. We have some things we need to improve on. We have six new guys this year...so there's some chemistry issues. But we're getting better, and that's all you can ask for is just to keep improving until conference," says Carroll Senior Post Tony Dalton.
