Carroll Track & Field Signs Fitzpatrick

Helena, MONTANA — Carroll College Track and Field is pleased to announce the signing of Deni Fitzpatrick for the 2011-2012 academic school year.

Deni is the daughter of Dennis and Rachelle Fitzpatrick of Cut Bank, Mont. She is currently a senior at Cut Bank High School. She earned Academic All-State for track & field as well as cross-country. Fitzpatrick was the recipient of the Archie Roe Most Valuable Female Athlete as a junior and made the Great Falls Tribune Top Ten List for 2011. With her many accomplishments in track & field Carroll College is happy to welcome her to the program as a sprinter.

Fitzpatrick also played volleyball for three years and is a four-year member of the National Honors Society. She is interested in working in health sciences and is particularly interested in the nursing program at Carroll.

“After I visited Carroll College and toured the academic departments of my interest, I knew it was the right place for me,” said Fitzpatrick. “I like that Carroll offers smaller class sizes allowing for more interaction with professors. Not only will I get a great education at Carroll, I will be a part of an exciting track program.”

COACH MATT MORRIS COMMENTS:
“Deni’s high school track & field accomplishments are extraordinary. Not only has she won numerous state championships and broke several state records, she also has the opportunity this spring to become the first female track & field athlete in Montana history to win 4 consecutive 200m state titles. Deni is an outstanding student, athlete, and person, and couldn’t be more excited to have her join our program next fall.”
