The Montana Grizzlies won on the leg of Dan Carpenter for the second straight week.

But the Helena native wasn't the only North Central Montana hero in the win. Great Falls CMR alum Ryan Bagley caught a touchdown in the first half and made an amazing out-stretched catch in the 4th quarter which led to Carpenter's late field goal.

Bagley's catch in the first quarter gave Montana the early 7-0 lead. Cole Bergqust threw his second touchdown of the afternoon to Mike Ferriter concluding a 4 play, 37 yard drive.

Eastern Washington responded by scoring twice in the final 30 seconds of the first half making a 14-10 game.

The number 1 team in the nation appeared to be in control up 21-20 late in the 4th. But the Eagles Felipe Marcias sent a 39 yard field goal threw the uprights with 2:20 remaining in the game giving EWU a 23-21 edge.

The Griz were down to 4th and 10 when Bergquist connected with Bagley with about 2 minutes remaining which set up a 34 yard game winning field goal with 26 seconds to go.

The Griz won 24-23.

They hit the road for the first time all season next weekend to Sacramento State.
