Carroll begins Frontier 2nd half with 'W'

By KFBB Sports_Team

The Carroll Fighting Saints extended their win streak to 8 straight in the Frontier Conference as they beat Rocky Mountain College for the 2nd time this season 42-0.

The Saints ground game was led by quarterback John Barnett who opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 10 yard touchdown run. The senior carried the ball 9 times for 103 yards.

To say Carroll had a balanced attack would be exactly right. As a team Carroll rushed for 224 yards, while QB John Barnett threw for 224 yards via the air completing 15 of 21 tries.

And as it's been all season, when the Saints get a lead they don't give it up. For the 7th straight game the Carroll defense did not allow a touchdown. That streak is the longest of its kind in the entire nation, at any level.

Next week the Saints head to Eastern Oregon to take on the Mountaineers who upset 21st ranked UM-Western over the weekend ending their 7 game losing streak to Frontier opponents.

GF may double parking meter fees from 25 to 50 cents an hour. What do you think?

  • They need the money & I can afford it.
  • Another reason for me not to shop downtown.
  • A smaller increase will keep me shopping downtown.
  • Toss the meters, parking should be free.
