Since we got pounded with rain on Sunday we had quite a bit of work to do on our field. That kept us busy from 10am until around 1pm. We then had about 2 hours to relax until we had to head back to the field for extra batting practice. Extra BP went from 3 - 4:15 and then the bus left for our game vs. Bourne at 4:30... about a 20 min. trip. There was a mist in the air for the entire game but it never really rained. Brandon Cumpton from Georgia Tech started the game on the mound for us and he threw well. It took our offense a couple innings to get going but from the 3rd inning on we hit the ball sharply. Dan Jennings from Nebraska relieved Cumpton in the 5th inning he kept things going smoothly. We went up 7-0 and coasted from there. We kind of lost our focus late in the game but we were never really in trouble. I think the final score was 10-4. We really have a good group of guys and they're fun to be around... I guess winning helps too. We'll see how things go when we lose a game. Tomorrow we're back at home. Nate Garcia from Santa Clara will start on the hill for us. Also, since Florida St. was eliminated from the College World Series today we will have 2 more players here in a couple days.
