Tonights game was a rarity in the Cape League. We won by a final score of 13-2 (4-1 overall record). Since every team is still missing a few key players because of the College World Series the beginning of the season can be interesting. Chatham was supposed to be one of the better teams in the Cape this year but they have yet to win a game... again they are still waiting on a few guys. In the mean time Jason Kipnis from Arizona St. played his first game for us today. He batted third and played rightfield and had a pretty solid game. Nick Hernandez (Tennessee) started his second game and he pitched well again. Mike Bianucci (Auburn) hit his 2nd home run of the season and quite a few other guys had good days at the plate as well. Tomorrow we are on the road at Harwich... they are leading the other division. Brandon Cumpton (Georgia Tech) will start on the mound. Matt Fairel and Tyler Holt from Florida St. should be here in the next couple days.
