It was nice to finally get a game in tonight. I thought the guys might be a little rusty but they came out early and scored 5 runs in the 1st and never looked back (W 8-3 vs. Bourne). We are now tied for the best record in the Cape. Nate Garcia (Santa Clara) pitched 5 solid innings for us... he didn't give up a hit until the 4th. Robbie Shields (Florida Southern) hit another home run and also had a double and single. Not sure how much MTV you guys watch but the Bourne team we played had a guy by the name of Ross Wilson who plays for Alabama. He was also the quarterback on the MTV reality show "Two-A-Days" about the Hoover High School football team in Alabama... it was kind of weird seeing him in person. He's a pretty good baseball player too obviously. Thursday we are at home vs. the Y-D Red Sox. They beat us last time so hopefully we can even things up with them.
