Montana Tech Falls in 1st Round of NAIA Tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - C.J. Hill scored 24 points, including
three 3-pointers, to lead the Azusa Pacific women to a 71-57 win
over Montana Tech in the first round of the NAIA national
tournament Thursday night.

Alex Moore-Porter added 21 points and a team-high 13 rebounds
for the Cougars (26-6). The next highest scorer was Kristie
Hala'Ufia with eight points.

The game entered the half tied at 29-29, but the Orediggers took
their biggest lead of the game at 37-31 with 17:33 remaining on a
basket by Taesha Higbee.

The Cougars responded with a 25-6 run over the next eight
minutes and maintained at least a seven-point lead the rest of the
game.

Higbee led Tech with 14 points and a game-high 15 rebounds,
while Jenessa Todd chipped in 13 points.
